简介摘要: (原创分析) WORLD CIRCULAR ECONOMY FORUM 2023 SUMMARY The World Circular Economy Forum 2023 returned to the Nordics with examples from around the world. The Forum, which gathered a global audience in Helsinki, Finland, aimed to share solutions and demonstrate how the circular economy can help both nature and the economy. It brought nature as an integral element and solutions that reduce pressures on land-use. One goal was to engage younger generations in circular economy discussions. On the opening day, a plenary session with young leaders勇敢的 was held. 31% of participants were under 35 years old. Speakers agreed circular solutions can grow the economy, regenerate nature and sustain a safe and just space for future generations. The Forum aimed to shift focus from discussing the need for circularity to how and now. Key levers discussed included collaboration, finance and policy, regenerate land, translate global ideas to local solutions, prioritise human well-being and rethink consumption and business. The Forum shared inspiring circular economy examples covering various topics. On 30 and 31 May, 151 speakers shared their ideas and action plans across 20 sessions. The Forum gathered 1,867 global participants. WCEF2023 provided a platform for the launch of various agreements, plans and publications. Highlights included circular collaboration in the Global South, strengthened by seven organisations. Leading MDBs increased circular projects in their financing. Strengthening collaboration was a key theme. The audience was reminded collaboration should extend to frontline communities. Education was also highlighted as key to foster collaboration. One of the key questions was how to accelerate financing for circular companies. Many circular businesses are successful, but investors often see them as too risky. Public policies can tilt the markets to support circular solutions. Political measures can support circularity in various ways, such as collaboration between private and public sector. Circular solutions must be long term and transform our relationship with resources. The circular transition must be inclusive and have critical mass. Rethinking means changing the way resources, jobs, skills and people are valued. The Forum provided inspiration and actions to accelerate the circular transition.
